SRK, when he did his first film, was lampooned for his unconventional looks not just by critics, but also his female co-stars. Himesh is going through a similar phase. But, like the Bollywood Badshah, he is also determined to win hearts.

“Everybody secretly nurtures the desire to be a film star, but nobody admits it. Given an opportunity, who wouldn’t want to be admired and loved by millions? Everyone is a narcissist deep down. Don’t we admire ourselves in the mirror,” asks Himesh.

Himesh Reshammiya says before his big day this Friday, “I won’t be attending the Karzzzz premiere in Abu Dhabi on the 16th.”

But isn’t that like a concert without its conductor?

“I know. But I can’t help it. I’d love to be there. I want to go but my family puja is on the same day. I can’t skip the pooja for anything in the world. No worries. Satishji, Urmilaji, and my leading lady Shweta Kumar along with my producer Bhushan Kumar will be attending.”

MUMBAI: Join Himesh Reshammiya as he hops on to Bindass Cash Cab, the only cab that pays for the ride and watch as he earns some cool money!

Bindass Cash Cab presented by Airtel is TV’s craziest quiz show on the go. Unsuspecting passengers get into a seemingly ordinary cab stating their destination. The passengers are surprised when they learn that it is no ordinary taxi and that they are on national television with the unique opportunity to win a grand cash prize of Rs. 20,000/- en route to their respective destination. To win, a passenger only needs to give the right answers to questions asked by Cash Cab anchor cum driver - Munish Makhija. The questions get progressively challenging with each correct answer as does the cash prize. Incorrect answers get a strike - and three such strikes will see passenger(s) out of the cab and on the road irrespective of the distance remaining to their actual destination! Passengers get two lifelines in case they do not know the answer to a particular question. They can either stop and ask strangers on the street or call a friend for help.

A Grand Curtain raiser for ‘Karzzzz’

It was one debt that Himesh Reshammiya would gladly repay. The actor-music director-singer paid an ode to millions of his rickshaw drivers and cabbie fans in the concert that was the curtain raiser to Bhushan Kumar’s ‘Karzzzz’ held at the Andheri sports Complex on Oct 12.

A star-studded performance, the act hosted by Mona Singh and Cyrus Broacha opened with Vineet from Saregama and Akriti Kakkar. Riya Sen in a sensuous black dress set the stage afire with a medley of “Tere Liye”, “Lagi Choote Na Junoon” and “Sisak”. This was followed by a comic act. Amrita Arora came next in a black and silver attire and danced to a medley of the tracks “Mirchi”, “Tandoori nights” and “Jumme Raat”

Viewers can also listen to Himesh as he compares himself to the original Monty – Rishi Kapoor and admits to some interesting secrets.

Himesh Reshammiya is just about everywhere these days. The promos of his soon to be released Karzzzz are being beamed on air and are quite impressive. The film’s posters too, featuring him with a blazing guitar are bound to have an impact. So it seems that our man is quite carried away and is contemplating a triple role in his next film.

Originally, the actor was planning a sequel to his Aap ka Suroor with his director friend Prashant Chaddha. But now it seems he has changed his mind. The actor is mulling over two projects these days. One of them is about triplets and the other is a romantic drama. It seems that Himesh is quite taken up with the script which features triplets.
