Himesh Goes West
Faridoon Shahryar, IndiaGlitz [Thursday, July 27, 2006]
The Man-with-the-cap is off to USA for a forty five day tour of USA and Canada. The tour is called ‘Aap Ka Suroor’ (His private album is named the same) and this concert tour is said to be the most expensive endeavour any music director or singer has ever undertaken. Maestro A R Rahman is also touring USA around the same time and Reshammiya is reportedly getting the same price as the genius from down south.
The singer-composer riding on an amazing high will be having the likes of Alisha Chinai, Abhijeet Sawant, the Sa Re Ga Ma protégé Vineet, Himani (Another Sa Re Ga Ma contestant), Udita Goswami and others.

Dino rubbishes rumours of rift with Reshammiya
Subhash K. Jha [Thursday, July 27, 2006]
Mumbai, July 28 (IANS) The music world is abuzz with rumours that composer Himesh Reshammiya has decided to “boycott” Dino Morea, but the actor denies it and says they are good friends.
“How can a music director boycott an actor? People have fertile imaginations. Me? I’d rather be fertile in more productive ways. I have no patience with such rubbish. Himesh has denied it. Himesh and I are friends,” Dino told IANS.
“Even before this super-successful phase started in his career, he gave super-yummy music in ‘Ishq Hai Tumse’ for Bipasha and me. Himesh is doing music in three of my forthcoming films — one to be directed by Pavan Kaul and two by Ananth Mahadevan,” said Dino.

It’s raining Reshammiya this August!
By MIO Team

Himesh Reshammiya is once again doing something record breaking! In this month of August itself he is gearing for five releases in a row. Can you imagine that? After rendering one hit after another album every now and then, he is all set to own the month of August to his name. But critics feel that it’s time that Himesh takes it slow. He has been working round the clock completing the ventures one after another and the tiredness is getting reflected through his work. That’s the reason his work is having lesser impact than it had 2-3 months back.

Besides acting, Akshaye Khanna does seem to have a talent for singing.
Reports have it that Akshaye has lent his vocal chords for movie Aap Ki Khatir . The film is a romantic comedy in which Akshaye is paired opposite Priyanka Chopra .
Akshaye recently recorded a ‘Nazm’ which happens to be the title track of the movie. The couplet sung by Akshaye has been composed by Himesh Reshammiya and written by Sameer.
The ‘Nazm’ in the song bears resemblance to the yesteryear romantic hit ‘Kabhi Kabhi’ rendered by Amitabh Bachchan .
Reshammiya is quoted in a report: “Sameerji’s poetry in the song is phenomenal. And Akshaye has got this quality in his voice, which is deep and soothing. Instinctively, I felt that we could use his voice. It’s sure to touch a chord with his female fans and it will be a surefire hit among the girlsâ€.

I Deliver a Hit Every Week,†says Himesh
Faridoon Shahryar, IndiaGlitz [Monday, July 24, 2006]
Himesh Reshamiya has turned a full cycle. Last year, it was almost the same time when he struck gold with the catchy-n-tangy tunes of ‘Aashiq Banaya Aapne’. The title song became a nationwide anthem of the youth, the taxi and auto wallas and the pride of barber shops. ‘Aashiq Banaya Aapne’ is notable because it marked the debut of Himesh the singer-with-a-nasal-touch. “I deliver a hit every week,†he says. True.
His music is one of the reasons behind the success of such films as ‘Tom Dick and Harry’, ‘Aksar’, ‘36 China Town’, ‘Shaadi Se Pehle’, ‘Chup Chup Ke’ and ‘Phir Hera Pheri’. Even a single in ‘Humko Deewana Kar Gaye’ became a rage forcing composer Anu Malik to turn red in the face.
One year down the line, every two out of four films have music by Himesh Reshamiya. His obsession (Or is it the producers) with his own voice is evident in the recent score of Zayed Khan’s ‘Rocky’ where he has sung five out of six numbers. Having started off on his super hit journey with Aaditya Dutt’s ‘Aashiq Banaya Aapne’, Reshamiya is back with Dutt’s next ‘Dil Diya Hai’. Starring Emraan Hashmi, the music is not the same any more. Yes, Himesh is tiring.

‘Ahista Ahista’, ‘Anthony Kaun Hai’, ‘Rocky-The Rebel’, ‘Dil Diya Hai’ - it has been a crazy last few weeks for Himesh Reshammiya if one looks at the number of audio releases crediting him for the music.
After ‘Aap Ki Khatir’, the scenario may change for him as there would be break of sorts as far his music releases are concerned. Though the man is still working day in and night out on his compositions for new films, at least from the promotional front he would be having a respite with ‘Aap Ki Khatir’ seeming to be only release over next few days.

This may well go down in record books.
Himesh Reshammiya, who is churning out one after another album every alternate day (though with lesser impact than what he managed to do around 2-3 months) will be seeing 5 of his films releasing back to back in the month of August.
Starting from August 4 when ‘Anthony Kaun Hai?’ arrives, his music takes a break on August 11 when majority of films are taking break. Reason? KANK arrives in the BIG day.

Bollywood, the biggest film industry in the world, churns out so many movies a week that to keep up with them all would be nearly impossible. The music is even harder to follow, with each movie containing 7 to 8 tracks. Therefore, my goal is to provide a Cliff Notes version of the Hindi music scene so far this year.
As the year 2006 surpasses its mid-point, about 25 songs have stood out, either for their commercial appeal or for their musical value. The songs have been divided into four categories: The Nasal Playlist, It’s a Hit, the Underdogs, and Pop What?
The Nasal Playlist
Last year’s nasal nostalgia continues in full force as music director/singer Himesh Reshammiya churns out one chartbuster after another. Jhalak Dikhlaja from the movie Aksar led this year’s batch of tunes from la Reshammiya. This foot-tapping number quickly became a favorite club song. Everyone was singing it. And everyone had forgotten about the popular Aashiq Banaya Aapne from last year. Reshammiya followed up on this trend with two other hits- Aashiqui Mein Teri from 36 China Town and Jhoom Jhoom from Tom, Dick and Harry.
