Bhushan Kumar’s mega film ‘Karzzzz‘ was flagged off on 25th Jan ‘08, on the T-Series premises with a pooja to introduce the entire star cast of the film. Hosted by popular RJ and Anchor Siddharth Kannan, the event saw the presence of the original creator Subhash Ghai and the evergreen Rishi Kapoor himself, who shared their fond memories of the film and expressed their heartiest wishes to the present crew, to make it an even bigger success.
Also present to grace the occasion and seek the blessings of God and Subhash Ghai, were the cast and crew of the new film- Himesh Reshammiya, debutante Shweta, Danny Denzongpa, Raj Babbar and director Satish Kaushik, along with Bhushan Kumar, Krishan Kumar, Divya Khosla Kumar, Tanya Kumar and Tulsi Kumar, all from T-Series. The stars started off the event with a small pooja thanking God and went ahead to grace the stage and share their thoughts on the film.

‘Composer-Singer’ Himesh Reshammiya is a thing of the past. The now-successful leading man of Aap Kaa Surroor will now have ‘actor-composer-singer’ on his calling-card.
That’s right. Himesh will only let his music be heard in films that feature him in the lead.
“I’ve several offers as a leading man. But I’ll only be doing three films a year per year. And since I’ll be doing such sparing work as an actor I might as well restrict my music to my own films. If I do music for outside films then the USP of my acting vehicles will be lost.
I don’t want to cheat the producers who’ll sign me. I’m now going to represent a never-before package of music-singing-acting. My next music score will be for my next starring vehicle, 8-10 months from now.”

Background on Tere Bina
The opening song of Aap Kaa Surroor the movie: The Real Luv Story, Tere Bina tells the story of the trials & tribulations of a broken heart. The song has been wonderfully picturised by Prashant Chadha, with instruments playing by themselves, encapsulating the element of lonliness.
Himeshji sings the song with such emotion, that one cannot help but want to hear more. It can be said that the song is the main song of the album as it features the famous violin parts which were earlier heard in Himeshji’s first private album: Tera Surroor (Aap Kaa Surroor).
The song has a strong connection with all HR fans & has been voted as the song of the week!!!

Himesh Reshammiya is not taking any chances.
After the disastrous fate of remakes like J P Dutt’a Umrao Jaan, and Ram Gopal Varma Ki Aag, the singer-turned-actor is making sure that his second film, Karzzzz — a remake of Subhash Ghai’s 1980 film — starts off on a good note.
He has decided to seek the blessings of Rishi Kapoor, who starred in the original, before leaving for the film’s 45-day shoot in South Africa on January 25.

Producer-director Indra Kumar’s daughter Shweta has been confirmed as the leading lady opposite Himesh Reshammiya in Satish Kaushik’s version of Subhash Ghai’s 1977 blockbuster Karz..
Confirming not just the leading lady, but also the rest of the cast Himesh speaking from Hong Kong said, “Yes Indra Kumar’s daughter is playing Tina Munim’s part from the original.
Urmila Matondkar plays Simi Garewal’s part.
Danny Denzongpa will step into Pran’s role. Gulshan Grover is playing Premnath’s prat. And Raj Babbar is stepping into Pinchoo Kapoor’s character.

Himesh Reshammiya who is gearing for his role in his next film, Bhushan Kumar’s Karzzzz, which hits the floors on January 29 with a 40 day schedule in South Africa, himesh has already lost seven kgs for the film and is in the process of loosing three more kgs in the next 10 days before the film hits the floors. Reshammiya who weighed 73 kgs now weighs 66 kgs.
Karzzzz is a musical and Himesh will play a rockstar in the film and perform to four dance numbers. For his role he needed to be fit and trim and so he hit the gym. He was advised light exercises and cardio. And the result is there for all to see. In the next 10 days he has to lose a bit more before he leaves for his outdoor shoot to South Africa.

Producer-director Indra Kumar’s daughter Shweta will make her debut opposite Himesh Reshammiya in Karzzzz. This T-Series project, produced by Bhushan Kumar, is a remake of Subhash Ghai’s 1980 film about reincarnation.
Directed by Satish Kaushik, Karzzzz has Urmila Matondkar playing the role of Simi Garewal with Himesh scoring the music as well.
Under wraps
Though everything is hush-hush, and several names of both newbies and known stars were being tossed around for a while, it is reliably learnt that Shweta has been finally pencilled in for the role of Tina Munim.
