Himesh Reshammiya in Zee TV’s Teen Bahuraaniyaan

Music director, singer, performer and now actor Himesh Reshammiya, who is also mentor on the musical talent hunt show, Sa Re Ga Ma Pa Challenge 2007, will be making a guest appearance in Zee TV’s soap, Teen Bahuraaniyaan by Paresh Rawal, this Tuesday. Says Himesh: “When the channel approached me for this guest appearance I was more than happy to oblige as my association with Zee TV dates back to the time when I was the music director of the show Andaaz.”

The show’s track has been modified to accommodate Himesh in the serial, with the head of the family, Mithi Ba, being shown as an ardent fan of the musician. This will lead to an unexpected meeting.

The cast of the show was excited to meet the rock star performer, no one more so than Kadambari Kadam who plays the character of Janaki from Rajkot. Says Kadambari: “Since Himesh also hails from Rajkot, I was excited - he is deeply rooted to his Gujarati culture.”

As he goofed about with Mithi ba and Gopaldas Gheewala in Gujarati, it was discovered that the entire unit is full of stalwarts from Gujarati theatre whom Himesh recognized from his early days in the industry. It was also the first time Himesh laughed out loud in a public appearance!!
