Rahat Fateh Ali Khan talking about Himeshji!!!

Filling into the shoes of a maestro like Ustad Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan is no mean task, but this modest young man from Pakistan is not only continuing the legacy of the legendary Sufi singer with absolute elan, he has carved a niche for himself in the global music scene as well. Rahat Fateh Ali Khan , nephew of Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan took up the charge of his uncle’s Qawwali troupe in 1997 after his untimely demise. Since then he has not looked back.

While his Sufi renditions have left audiences spellbound world wide, his recent forays into Bollywood have resulted in many blockbuster songs.

“Recently I have sung for Himesh Reshammiya in the film Namastey London. It was a very nice experience working with him,” he says about his recent Bollywood venture.

    rahat fatehwas suprtb in his song “Main Jahaan Rahoon” also jayesh was brilliant in the same song with his short part !
    we want more songs like this type from himesh
    he can make all the types of songs (romance,rock,sad,classic,……..)
    he is def the best music director in bollywood nowadays !

    hey….
    i hv butterflies in my stomach now.i was just changin channels in tv,n in mtv super select, i found himesh as gest.i was just shockd.he was lookin so hooooooooooooooooot.
    he talkd bout namaste london,red,n aap ka suroor.
    he also sang aafreen tera chehra so superbly… ;)
    now anybody,who wants 2 see this,i must tell..

    i think that it would be fair to say that singers like himesh reshammiya,rahat fateh ali khan,late nusrat fateh ali khan,kailash kher,atif aslam,zubeen garg,krishna etc are the new generation unconventional singers that fit in the same genre….n their voices are best suited (although they can sing other musical genres too) for sufi rock fuzion n pakistani pop kinda numbers….so different from the usual old school singers like kumar sanu,udit n sonu etc who prefer typical indian numbers….nyway…if aap ka suroor-the moviee becomes a hit..i can imagine how himesh reshammiya would be over the moon (as if he already dosent enough success - pun intended)…man oh man…when this guy is done with his career (i hope he never does),he is going to be remembered as the most popular/famous successful musical legend/icon in indian history…guaranteed and signed off B-)

I am also the same person who made the Himesh fan club on facebook. The closest I was to have interaction with him was getting an autographed concert flier that I got from Chicago. I think people would love to hear from him hear. I have done other interviews as well such as roop kumar and sunali rathod, indian ocean, joSH and have met S. P Balasubrmanyam and have written many press releases and am working with the Aaj Kaal movie review

    Himesh and Rahat Nusraf Fateh Ali Khan Ji - When ever i am Alone and want to relax i Play the Song ” Main Jahan Rahoon ” and in a Day atleast i hear this song 10 times…..Thanks a lot for creating such song….
