Himesh Reshammiya says,”A struggling singer is truly benefited only when he gets a song that gets him noticed. Today, item songs are excellent material for promoting struggling or stagnating talents. That is why Shaan (Nikamma kiya/Kya Dil Ne Kahaa) and Gayatri Iyer (Mohabbat hai mirchi/Chura Liya Hai Tumne) gained from my songs. Of course Himesh’s most successful discovery is himself. His unique voice may be admired, lambasted or ridiculed but it is discussed widely and sells hugely. Himesh’s vocals have been the selling-point of albums like Aashique Banaya Aapne, Aksar, Tom Dick And Harry, 36 China Town and many others.

    himesh is 100% right..people may criticise him.but he is d main ingredient for d success of a small budget film.after all everybody cant afford SRK for their films.
    himesh is d best…

    I would like to spare a thought for Namaste london..how i feelabt it…
    Chakna chanka is effective coz of its innovative beats,its a song that grows upon hearing…u either like it or hate it…viraniya is a nice melodious song powerful coz of himesh’s style of singing…yahi hota hai pyar…now this is when HR is at his melodious best…this song is my best in the album…main yahan rahu (remix is good) n rafta rafta (the remix is noisy..either u like it or hate it..well..i like it) are simple yet effective melodies,n it is hard to believe that HR has composed them both..it shows his versatility…dilruba dilnasheen is typical HR item kinda song which he can compose whilst sleeping…annan fanan is an average n the weakest song (i think) but still decent..the beginning words ‘annan faanan’ spoil it all..in overall a very decent above average album…but certainly not his best work (except yahi hota hai pyar)…perhaps a total killer number like afreen in addition would have kept the v high expectation from this album since the hype was so much…btw another feather in HR’s cap

    hello everybody…
    i hv a solid news.himesh is back in tv with sa re ga ma challenge 2007.rumours r there tht he will judge indian idol.but thnx god he took a great decision 2 judge in sa re ga ma.audition is on 22 april.so i thnk he will finish his shooting in this 2 months.
    sa re ga ma may be aired in may…
    ohhhh we can watch him everyday…… :x
    cant wait………

    Hey swatee, thanks for the news…Himeshji will not be judging Indian Idol, he is only doing SRGMP c2007 (I was lucky enough to watch him do the London auditions on friday 16th feb…my review of that day coming soon!!) Jem :D

    sorry..somethng is wrong in my news..d audition is on 22nd feb..not april n in kolkata…i cant understand 1 thng..himesh is in Germany or India..if he is in india,thn how will he shoot for d film.

    Hi sweta…there will be one more judge at srgmp c2007…so I guess they will do the Kolkata auditions if Himeshji is shooting for his film…& yep Jessi, I did watch the London auditions & Himeshji will be the 2nd mentor…keep logging on to read my v.special review of the auditions, coming soon! ;) Jem

    hey jem..i saw an ad on zee tv,where himesh is sayin..he will do d auditions himself…2moro.may be d real program will be aired 2 or 3 months later.coz,there is a reality program now in zee..they have 2 wait till it ends…i guess in d mean time…he will shoot for his film…after d auditions.

    u are soooo fortunate!! coz here , in mauritius they give saregamapa on saturdays… now challenge 2005 is goin on here :(

    n i just love the little rockstar Vineet in that!!

    i really would love it if they would give challenge 2006 or 2007 here :)
