Boney’s envy, Himeshji’s pride?
Himesh Reshammiya says Boney Kapoor’s allegations regarding the song Tanhaiyaan are false
Himesh Reshammiya is surprised at producer Boney Kapoor’s accusation that the rights of the song Tanhaiyaan that Himesh is using for the promo of his film Aap Ka Suroor are with the producer. Says Himesh, “I respect Boneyji a lot. I’ve composed nine songs for his Shahid Kapoor-Kareena starrer Milenge Milenge. But Tanhaiyaan is not one of them.”
“It is hundred per cent my song. It’s composed and sung by me, and the cost of the recording was also borne by me! Since I was doing Boneyji’s Milenge Milenge I made him hear Tanhaiyaan at one of the sittings. He loved the tune. But it couldn’t fit into Milenge Milenge. So, where’s the question of it being Boneyji’s property?” he says.
Himesh continues, “I’ve been trying to get in touch with Boneyji for seven months. Since there was no progress with the film I decided to use the song in my own film. Where’s the problem in that? I respect Boneyji and don’t want to hurt his sentiments. But the question of the rights of the song being with him or anyone else just doesn’t arise.”
The composer-singer feels it is jealousy that’s making other hurl constant accusations at him. “Just throwing my name into any controversy isn’t right. I’m doing my first film as a hero, and it’s going to be bigger than anything ever done before. Maybe that’s unacceptable to some people. But it’s nothing I can reverse just to please others,” he says.

The song Tanhaiyaan is really beautiful and definitely will be a hit. But I am totally disgusted by the accusations Boney kapoor made on Himeshji. How can he claim his rights on a song composed and sung by Himeshji himself? Anyway, I am with you Himeshji
It unfair what Boney kapoor has done Tanhaiyaan is Himesh Bhai Song and i say it will be a bigger hit. Boney kapoor donot do this you are right Himesh Bhai We are with you.

Himeshji can neva do such thing, people r jealous of his success.. All his songs r superb n really rocks. Tanhaiyan is a very nice song n will definitely be a super hit..

everyone is just after him and it annoys me so much! i want to stand up for him. haha he’s handling everything really well, though especially for a person new to all this fame and all. does he have any family? it’s really a part of his life and as fans we really would like to know, Jem. It’d be great if we could find out!
Hi Smriti - It may be a part of Himeshji’s life but we love him for his work only - I believe he still has the right to keep the family part of live private & we should respect that aur waise bhi…wait for the movie to come out
