Grudge him all his success but truth is that Himesh Reshammiya is applauded worldwide. It’s obvious at the Wembley arena in London, NRIs are dancing in the aisles as the nasal singer belt out his numbers.
Later he chills in his suite with tablas and harmonium for company. Obviously he’s more than aware of his popularity. He confesses, “I know my popularity is sky high. The success of my shows in USA, UK are proof. People were going crazy at London, Glasgow and all the places that I visited. Now I’m used to the mass hysteria I generate.â€
Before, I hint on his new-found arrogance he immediately says, “Success has not corrupted me. For the past two years I’ve been working nineteen hours a day. I’ve faced a lot of adverse comments but I don’t hold it against anybody. I’m sure I will win the one percent of the film industry that wants me to fall flat on my face.â€

His chart-busters are similar to the point of being indistinguishable. Himesh Reshammiya’s voice, once cited as unique, has been the target of criticism as many find his voice to be too nasal.
Hobby as a profession:
I have always been crazy about music and when I started to producing serials at 16, I was already composing the title tracks of the serials. I got my first break as a producer with Ahmedabad Doordarshan. One of my biggest feats as a producer was the success of Andaz that boasted of a glittering starcast. But, in my heart I always wanted to be a music director. However, no one would have given a break to a 16-year-old. So, I worked hard as a producer, but kept on composing. Eventually, I was able to turn my hobby into profession. It is the best thing that can happen to anyone. Which is why today, I can put in 18-19 hours of work each day.

Himesh Reshammiya is going all out to ensure that all details are looked after well in his acting debut. The latest addition to the film crew is Gary Powell of Casino Royale fame. He has been roped in to execute the stunts for Aap Ka Surroor.
When contacted Himesh said, “Yes, it is true that we have signed on Gary Powell. I am glad that he has agreed to do the film.”
Should viewers expect slick stunts from the film? “See, Aap Ka Surroor is a musical thriller. Whatever action you see in the film will be believable. There will no sequences that will be over-the-top, and which I won’t be able to carry off. All I can say is that they will be carried out on a grand scale.”

New Delhi, November 14: Himesh Reshammiya promises to answer all FAQs about himself in his semi-autobiographical film Aap Ka Suroor-The real Love Story coming in June. People ask me why I wear a cap, never smile and why I always lose the girl in my music videos,s ays the singer. The film has all the answers. The movie will be based on his own love story. Shot in 18 countries, the film pairs two actresses opposite him, and will feature nine of his biggest hits. The buzz is that the actor-singer has roped in a foreign actor to play the lead. It’s still too early to give out details, says Reshammiya mysteriously.
In town for one of Radio City’s promotional contests, Reshammiya played the rockstar with panache. Reshammiya zoomed into Delhis Amar colony with eight bouncers followed his limousine along with five Harley Davison bikers and two SUVs. Even as the crowd went berserk, Reshammiya didn’t lose his cool. And when he got bruised in the ensuing fanfare, Reshammiya made sure the shutterbugs got a shot of him tending to his minor bruises!

LONDON - He has had an eventful journey of traversing variegated terrain. Himesh Reshammiya, son of musician and composer Vipin Reshammiya, first began as a TV serial producer, and beginning with the huge hit “Andaz,” churned out several soaps and sitcoms as producer-story writer and music director (of the usually popular title-tracks).
He next turned music director in films with a single but chartbusting song in “Pyaar Kiya To Darna Kya” (1998), making a mark slowly but surely with hit tracks in “Hello Brother” and “Kya Dil Ne Kahaa” and then hitting consecutive highs with “Humraaz,” “Chura Liyaa Hai Tumne” and finally hit the big time with “Tere Naam.” In 2005, he turned singer with “Aashiq Banaya Aapne,” scored a whopper, and went on to belt out a series of super-hits that included T-Series’ biggest-selling album ever “Aap Ka Suroor” in whose music videos he popularized a makeover that included a frayed cap, a jacket, a stubble and a forlorn look.
Come mid- to late 2006, Himesh stormed the U.S. with a series of spectacular solo concerts and finally Oct. 29, he launched his “Aap Ka Suroor” concert in London with three announcements that highlighted lots more moonlighting.

Himesh Reshammiya says Boney Kapoor’s allegations regarding the song Tanhaiyaan are false
Himesh Reshammiya is surprised at producer Boney Kapoor’s accusation that the rights of the song Tanhaiyaan that Himesh is using for the promo of his film Aap Ka Suroor are with the producer. Says Himesh, “I respect Boneyji a lot. I’ve composed nine songs for his Shahid Kapoor-Kareena starrer Milenge Milenge. But Tanhaiyaan is not one of them.”
“It is hundred per cent my song. It’s composed and sung by me, and the cost of the recording was also borne by me! Since I was doing Boneyji’s Milenge Milenge I made him hear Tanhaiyaan at one of the sittings. He loved the tune. But it couldn’t fit into Milenge Milenge. So, where’s the question of it being Boneyji’s property?” he says.
