Magical evening with Himeshji
- Jem Raj (Himesh-Reshammiya.com)
Hello All,
I know most of you have been eagerly awaiting for this review so here it is!!! It truly was the most amazing night on 29th October 2006 at Wembley Arena!!!
The show begins!!!
Himani Kapoor, (a SaReGaMaPa challenge 2005 finalist) opened the show with Himeshji’s composition “Purab Se” from the movie “Banaras - A Mystic Love Story” and she also sang “Oodhni” from “Tere Naam” - both were amazing performances! After Himani, came Vinit Singh (who was runner up in SRGMP c2005 from Himeshji’s Rock Gharana) & he got the crowd going with “Dil Vich Lagaya Ve” from the movie “Chup Chup Ke” - which is, of course, another awesome composition by Himeshji! After that Vinit sang the title track of “Tere Naam” & then came Abhijeet Sawant who wooed the crowds by singing his first ever playback song for Himeshji - “Mar Jawan Mit Jawan” from the movie “Aashiq Banaya Aapne”. Then came SRGMP c2005 winner Debojit who mesmerized the audience with “Dil Kahe Raha Hai” from “Kyon Ki”, followed by SRGMP contestants Paresh who sang “Janabe Ali” from the movie “Bardaasht” & Ujjaini who sang “Nikamma kiya” from “Kya Dil Ne Kaha”.

Himesh is the first Indian to perform at the renowned Wembley Stadium, London. At the live performance last night, the euphoric audience swore a star is born.
Elton John, Madonna, Michael Jackson, Rolling Stones and Himesh Reshammiya… Well, what’s common amongst them? It’s the Wembley!
Gracefully crooning down the pages in history, Himesh broke all records and emerged a winner. The evidence was all there last night as the audience at the stadium sang, wept and laughed with the singing sensation and kept yearning for more.

Into the night, in the rain…
BANGALORE: Himesh Reshammiya seemed to have appeased the rain Gods as they refrained from launching a heavy downpour at least in the initial hours of the concert on Friday night at Palace Grounds. The concert had its usual problems, in fact they began to get trivial as VVIPs fought over chairs in the already oversized enclosure!
The concert started around one and a half hours late and Ujjaini, Vineet & Himani kicked off the show with a couple of Himesh’s compositions. The crowd surprisingly waited patiently.

Himesh Reshammiya, the latest singing sensation has been in the news for various reasons mainly for his nasal singing. While critics wrote an early obituary, ironically, his popularity rose to unmatchable scales. One hit after the other, Himesh became the talk of the town in no time. The jaadu in his voice mesmerised crowds all over the globe.
And singing nasal suddenly became the new trend in singing. Guess thats why his recent US shows were a runaway hit. However, other than exercising his vocal chords, the singer has been concentrating on something else too toning his muscles. I am not trying to make a body like Salman Khan, he says jokingly, I know what I am capable of doing. I just wanted to lose the extra kilos that made me look plump. Now I look and feel much better, he states.

He also sings some of his tunes and as a playback singer performs in a black trench coat. Just back from a global tour, Himesh tells Zee about the things that make his world go round…
